We\’re seeking an experienced Area Manager to join a fast paced retailer on an exciting expansion path. This is a fantastic opportunity for high-performing Store Managers of larger stores or those with multi-site management experience to progress into a senior operational role and play a key part in driving growth. The role will lead parts of East London & Essex.
About the Role
As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence across multiple stores, ensuring your teams deliver outstanding performance, customer experience, and sales growth. You will play a key role in implementing strategy at a local level, developing your managers, and supporting a business that is rapidly expanding its footprint.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a team of Store Managers across your area to achieve sales, operational, and customer service targets
- Monitor store performance, implement initiatives, and ensure consistency across all sites
- Support the business growth strategy by opening new stores or improving existing ones
- Develop and coach Store Managers to reach their full potential
- Ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures
- Collaborate with senior management to drive operational improvements and growth initiatives
Who We\’re Looking For
- Proven retail management experience in supermarket or convenience retail environments
- Strong track record as a Store Manager of a larger store or multi-site management experience or an existing Area Manager
- Ambition to progress into a wider operational role and contribute to a growing business
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Ideally degree calibre (or equivalent experience) with commercial awareness
- Excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills
