We are recruiting an experienced Retail Area Manager to lead a large multi site portfolio for a successful and growing big box retail business based around Bristol and the South West.
This role requires proven experience managing multiple stores and leading large teams in a fast paced, high volume retail environment.
As Area Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, profitability and KPI performance while developing Store Managers, improving standards, and delivering a strong customer first culture across the region.
This is a newly created role within a growing business and offers a genuine opportunity to influence performance, develop future leaders and shape the success of the region.
- Salary up to £60,000 plus company car and bonus

- Deliver sales, margin and profit targets through strong commercial leadership
- Manage KPIs, payroll and controllable costs to maximise store performance
- Ensure consistent customer service, operational and merchandising standards
- Deliver full compliance across health and safety and company policies
- Build high performing teams with a clear focus on succession planning
- Act as a key link between stores and Head Office teams
- Visit stores on a structured cycle, setting clear actions and supporting underperforming locations
About You
- Proven experience as an Area Manager, Senior Area Manager or Regional Manager within retail
- Essential experience managing multiple stores within a big box or large format retail environment
- Strong commercial and analytical skills with the ability to drive performance
- A people focused leader who develops and motivates high performing teams
- Customer centric and comfortable working in a fast paced, high volume retail business
