JUNIOR MERCHANDISER | ECOM & RETAIL | INTERNATIONAL RETAILER | HYBRID | 18 Month FTC
Working for one of the UK's most recognisable retailers, with one of the strongest merchandising functions in the industry, this is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Merchandiser ready to take the next step in their career.
You’ll join one of our client’s key product categories, working alongside an experienced Merchandising team where you’ll receive ongoing support, development and genuine opportunities to progress.
Responsibilities
- Support the planning and forecasting of stock to achieve sales and profit targets.
- Assist in managing the WSSI and OTB, ensuring stock levels are aligned to business needs.
- Analyse sales, stock and performance data to identify opportunities and risks.
- Monitor best and worst sellers, making recommendations for repeats, markdowns and future buys.
- Work closely with Buyers to ensure the right product mix is delivered each season.
- Prepare weekly trade reports and present performance updates to the wider team.
- Support range planning, pricing and promotional activity to maximise sales and profit.
- Review stock cover and recommend actions to maintain healthy stock levels.
- Build strong relationships with Buying, Design and Supply Chain teams to ensure products arrive on time.
- Produce accurate reports and analysis to support commercial decision making.
- Contribute to monthly reforecasts and seasonal planning activity.
- Coach and support Merchandising Assistants where appropriate.
About You
- Previous experience as an Assistant Merchandiser or in a similar merchandising role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales and stock data.
- Confident using Excel and merchandising systems.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Commercially aware with a genuine passion for retail.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to build relationships across teams.
- Proactive, organised and eager to learn and develop within a leading retail business.
