About the Role

I am currently supporting a scale up retail and distribution business who are looking for a hands-on Warehouse Front Line Manager to support the day-to-day running of a busy fulfilment and distribution operation. There are multiple roles on offer and roles will involve rotating shift patterns working on a 4 on 3 off basis. Applicants must be able to work on an early shift and a night shift which will include weekends (44 hours per week). Working closely with site leadership, you will help coordinate workflows, supervise teams, manage attendance and performance, and ensure operational targets are delivered safely and efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys leading from the front in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the smooth running of daily operational workflows
  • Allocate tasks and monitor progress against priorities
  • Identify and escalate operational issues and bottlenecks
  • Assist with planning during peak periods and high-volume activity
  • Manage rota accuracy, attendance, and timekeeping records
  • Provide first-line supervision and support to operational teams
  • Conduct performance, attendance, and conduct conversations where required
  • Reinforce operational standards, productivity expectations, and safe working practices
  • Escalate staffing, performance, or operational concerns appropriately
  • Support compliance with company procedures and operational controls
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting

About You

  • Previous experience in a Team Leader, Supervisor, or similar operational leadership role
  • Experience within warehousing, logistics, distribution, fulfilment, or other fast-paced operational environments
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills
  • Experience managing rotas, attendance, and workflow planning
  • Confident providing performance feedback and managing day-to-day team issues
  • Good IT skills and strong attention to detail
  • Proactive, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment
  • Only applicants with RTW in the UK will be considered

  • Experience using workforce management or HR systems
  • Experience in regulated or process-driven environments
  • Exposure to high-volume operational settings
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency and quality
