I am partnering with a fast-growing UK retailer operating at scale across both retail and wholesale channels. I am looking for a hands-on Warehouse Manager to lead the HQ operation, drive performance, and build a high-impact, high-accountability warehouse culture. This is a role for someone who loves ownership, thrives on improvement, and wants to make a visible difference from day one.
You will take full ownership of day-to-day warehouse operations, leading the team, optimising processes, and ensuring everything runs safely, smoothly, and efficiently in a fast-moving environment. The business is ready to scale and opening new stores across the UK, so it is a fantastic time to join the business.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Lead all daily warehouse activity: goods-in, put-away, picking, packing, dispatch and returns
- Maintain exceptional stock accuracy through cycle counts and reconciliation
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics with suppliers, couriers and internal teams
- Optimise warehouse layout, workflows and storage to maximise efficiency and throughput
- Ensure all products are handled, stored and transported safely and compliantly
Safety, Compliance & Hazardous Goods
- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure full UK regulatory compliance
- Oversee the safe storage and handling of regulated and hazardous goods
- Run regular risk assessments, safety audits and equipment checks
- Ensure all staff are trained, competent and working safely at all times
Leadership & Team Performance
- Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing warehouse team
- Set clear expectations and proactively manage performance
- Build a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement
- Plan staffing levels, shift patterns and workflows to meet business demand
Systems, Processes & Continuous Improvement
- Use WMS and operational systems to drive accuracy and efficiency
- Identify gaps and implement process improvements quickly
- Support operational change projects and warehouse upgrades
- Keep SOPs current, relevant and consistently followed
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a confident, practical leader who enjoys being on the warehouse floor and driving real change. You will bring:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or Senior Supervisor in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with regulated goods would be advantageous
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety standards and UK compliance requirements
- Confidence using WMS, inventory systems and operational software
- Excellent leadership skills - able to motivate, coach and hold teams accountable
- Strong organisation, problem-solving and decision-making ability
- A mindset focused on improvement, ownership and delivery
