My client are currently looking to recruit a QC Inspector to join their site in South Lanarkshire (commutable from Glasgow, Paisley, East Kilbride, Cumbernauld, Livingston & surrounding areas). This QC Inspector role is based on a rotating shift pattern, which is days (06:00 - 14:00), backs (14:00 - 22:00) and nights (22:00 - 06:00). The company is well established with nearly 100 years of manufacturing experience. The organisation offers job security alongside the opportunity for development and progression.

Quality Inspectors are responsible for inspecting finished products to ensure they meet quality standards. You'll also be involved in creating first-offs, reviewing process setups and ensuring products meet or exceed customer specifications.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform detailed inspections of products using AQL criteria and any relevant documentation e.g. Procedure Sheets
  • Ensure that all inspections are carried out in compliance with customer-specific requirements, quality standards, and industry regulations
  • Check product dimensions, surface finishes, colour consistency, functionality, and other quality parameters to ensure conformity to specifications
  • Work closely with the production team to review and validate process setups, ensuring proper adjustments are made to meet quality standards
  • Communicate effectively with the team lead and other departments regarding first-off results and any adjustments required during the production process
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure smooth operations and to promptly address any quality concerns identified during the inspection process
Experience required:
  • Basic knowledge of measurement tools (e.g., callipers, micrometers, gauges) and the ability to use them accurately
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to detect defects or deviations from quality standards
