Key Responsibilities
- F&C Partner Accounts
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations for franchise and concession partner accounts.
- Maintain clear supporting documentation and provide summary positions to partners.
- Ensure balances are accurate, complete and appropriately supported.
- IP Contracts & Minimum Guarantees
- Calculate IP costs and minimum guarantee liabilities and prepare associated journals.
- Prepare partner reporting and maintain the minimum guarantee tracker.
- Manage intercompany recharges relating to IP.
- Review complex and judgemental accounting areas and ensure postings are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Support monthly reporting requirements, including monthly reporting for key IP partners such as Netflix.
- Balance Sheet & Financial Control
- Take ownership of a number of complex and high–materiality balance sheet reconciliations.
- Review IP, CAPEX, intangible asset, AR, intercompany and other key balance sheet accounts.
- Investigate unusual or historic balances and identify errors or areas requiring correction.
- Work closely with the wider Finance team to ensure robust controls and accurate month–end reporting.
- CAPEX & Intangible Assets
- Review CAPEX accounts, including WIP and allocation between GL accounts.
- Assess whether expenditure has been appropriately capitalised.
- Review intangible assets, including content, software, trademarks and head office costs.
- Apply sound accounting judgement to complex additions and ensure appropriate treatment.
- Inventory
- Review inventory balances following stock takes with the Operations and Technology teams.
- Investigate discrepancies and ensure appropriate accounting treatment.
- Intercompany
- Reconcile UK and US intercompany balances.
- Investigate differences and work with relevant teams to resolve outstanding items.
- Leases
- Prepare FRS lease adjustments / IFRS 16 overlay using the dedicated lease accounting software.
- AR & Cash
- Review net AR positions across the control accounts.
- Reconcile offsetting cash receipt GLs and investigate discrepancies.
- Month–End Focus
- The role will have a strong month–end and balance sheet control focus, with the majority of reconciliations and reviews completed around WD6–WD15.
You will work closely with the Financial Controller and wider Finance team to ensure complex areas are reviewed early, accurately and with appropriate supporting evidence.

- Able to work independently and manage priorities within a part–time structure.
- A strong communicator who can work collaboratively with Finance and non–Finance stakeholders.
Why this role?
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being the technical problem–solver within Finance rather than simply processing routine month–end activities.
