This is an exciting opportunity to join a business entering its next phase of growth. With a strong product proposition, established customer base and significant opportunity to further scale its marketplace presence, you'll play a pivotal role in driving sales, profitability and operational excellence across Amazon.

Working alongside an established Amazon team, you'll become the internal expert for the marketplace channel, owning trading performance, account health and commercial strategy whilst identifying opportunities to maximise growth. If you enjoy trading products online, making commercially driven decisions and using data to influence performance, this is an opportunity to make a genuine impact.

The Opportunity

As Marketplace Trading Manager, you'll take ownership of the Amazon channel, ensuring it delivers against ambitious commercial objectives. You'll oversee the day-to-day trading performance, monitor account health, manage team relationships and use data and market insight to continually improve sales, profitability and customer experience. This isn't simply an account management role. We're looking for someone who will treat Amazon like its own business unit, constantly looking for opportunities to optimise performance, challenge the status quo and deliver sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the commercial performance of the Amazon marketplace.
  • Manage Amazon account health, ensuring operational KPIs consistently meet platform standards.
  • Partner with the external Amazon team, providing direction, reviewing performance and holding them accountable for delivery.
  • Develop and execute the marketplace trading plan, aligning promotional activity with wider business objectives.
  • Monitor sales, margin, profitability and trading performance, identifying opportunities to drive continuous improvement.
  • Analyse trading data and customer behaviour to inform commercial decisions.
  • Manage pricing, promotions and product availability to maximise sales and profit.
  • Oversee product listings, catalogue management and marketplace merchandising, ensuring content remains accurate and commercially effective.
  • Produce regular trading reports, sharing actionable insights and recommendations with senior stakeholders.
  • Monitor competitor activity and wider marketplace trends to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Work collaboratively with Ecommerce, Marketing, Product and Supply Chain teams to ensure Amazon remains a high-performing commercial channel.
  • Support the ongoing development of the marketplace strategy as the business continues to grow.

About You

We're looking for a commercially minded ecommerce professional who enjoys owning trading performance and influencing business results. You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience managing Amazon Seller Central within a retail, consumer or DTC business.
  • A strong understanding of Amazon account health and operational excellence.
  • Experience working alongside Amazon agencies or external marketplace partners.
  • Excellent commercial awareness with the ability to balance sales growth and profitability.
  • Strong analytical skills with confidence interpreting trading data and turning insight into action.
  • Experience managing promotional activity, pricing and digital merchandising.
  • A proactive approach with the confidence to challenge, influence and drive continuous improvement.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience within a high-growth ecommerce or direct-to-consumer business would be highly advantageous.

Why Join?

This is an opportunity to join a business with ambitious plans and play a key role in shaping the future of one of its most important sales channels. You'll have genuine ownership of the marketplace strategy, working closely with senior leaders and external partners to drive commercial performance and influence future growth.
