This is a fantastic opportunity for a solid, experienced Bookkeeper who takes real pride in getting the detail right and keeping the engine of a business running smoothly. Our client is a fast-growing, values-led business and we are investing in their finance function to support the next stage of growth. We are looking for someone who is confident owning the day-to-day finance operations - someone who doesn’t just process, but understands what good looks like and wants to make things better.

The Role - What You’ll Be Doing:
- Accounts Payable
- Ensuring supplier invoices are approved and matched to purchase orders
- Posting supplier invoices into the accounting system accurately and on time
- Preparing and running weekly supplier payment runs
- Responding to supplier queries and building strong relationships
- Reconciling supplier statements to the ledger
- Posting and reconciling credit card transactions
- Sending remittance advice to suppliers
- Raising weekly sales invoices
- Owning credit control and building strong relationships with customers
- Reporting on overdue debtors and taking proactive action
- Entering remittance advice into the cashflow forecast
- Processing domestic and international supplier payments
- Daily processing and reconciliation of bank transactions
- Supporting and maintaining the cashflow forecast
- Applying VAT rules correctly to all postings and supporting with VAT returns
- Reviewing current processes and driving continuous improvement
- Being a key support to the Senior Finance Manager and wider finance team
What We’re Looking For:
- AAT Qualified / Finalist
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper within practice or industry
- Strong understanding of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and bank reconciliations
- Confident with VAT and applying the correct treatment to transactions
- Experience using accounting systems; Dynamics experience is a strong advantage
- Highly organised, detail-driven and dependable
- A proactive mindset - you spot issues, ask questions and fix them
- Someone who enjoys being part of a small, close-knit team and taking ownership
