Digital Analyst in Liverpool

Digital Analyst Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 Location: Liverpool Working Pattern: Hybrid, two to three days per week in the office Zachary Daniels is supporting an established consumer-facing business with the appointment of a Digital & Ecommerce Analyst. This is a commercially focused position for someone who can interpret online performance data, identify what is influencing customer behaviour and help teams make better decisions. Working with colleagues across digital, commercial and marketing functions, you will provide insight into performance, highlight opportunities and improve how data is accessed and understood across the organisation. The Opportunity You will take ownership of analysis across the organisation's digital channels, looking beyond headline numbers to explain what is happening, why it is happening and what the business should do next. The role combines hands-on data analysis with stakeholder engagement. You will investigate performance, develop reporting solutions and communicate your findings in a way that is clear, practical and commercially relevant. You will also have the opportunity to improve existing tools and introduce more efficient ways of delivering insight. Key Responsibilities Analyse digital trading, customer and website data to identify trends and areas of opportunity Investigate changes in online performance and provide clear explanations to stakeholders Translate commercial questions into structured analysis and practical recommendations Query and combine data from multiple sources using SQL Use web analytics platforms to assess customer journeys, engagement and conversion Build and maintain dashboards that make performance information easier to access Partner with teams across digital, marketing and commercial functions Present findings to stakeholders with different levels of technical knowledge Assess the likely commercial value of recommendations and help teams prioritise activity Improve reporting processes and reduce reliance on manual analysis Support the development of self-service reporting across the organisation Explore new ways of using automation and emerging technology within analytics Share knowledge and contribute to the continued development of the wider data functionAbout You Previous experience in a digital, ecommerce, web or commercially focused analytics role Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets Hands-on experience using a cloud-based data warehouse, ideally BigQuery Good knowledge of web analytics platforms, with experience of GA4 particularly relevant Experience creating dashboards using Power BI, Looker or another visualisation platform Able to explain complex findings in clear and commercially relevant language Comfortable working directly with stakeholders and challenging assumptions An understanding of online customer behaviour and digital performance measures Experience improving or automating reporting processes Familiarity with data transformation, reporting workflows and data quality Strong Excel skills and confidence working with wider business productivity tools Curious, proactive and comfortable identifying opportunities without waiting for a defined brief This is an opportunity to join a well-established business where data is becoming increasingly important to commercial decision-making.
