Regional Sales Manager
£50,000-£55,000 + car or car allowance + bonus + pension Remote / Field Based - North (M62 Corridor)
We are recruiting a Regional Sales Manager for an established, internationally backed manufacturer of premium building material solutions.
This is a confidential, field based opportunity for someone to grow sales and manage key accounts across a defined UK region.
The successful Regional Sales Manager will manage relationships with builders' merchants, specialist merchants, distributors, contractors and installers, delivering against sales and margin objectives.
As Regional Sales Manager, you will take ownership of a defined territory, develop long term customer relationships and drive profitable growth.
Package includes £50,000-£55,000 basic salary, company car or car allowance, bonus and benefits.
Responsibilities
Manage and develop existing customer accounts across the region.
Identify, win and develop new business opportunities.
Build strong relationships with merchants, distributors, contractors and installers.
Visit customers during trading hours and attend site visits where required.
Support customers, end users and internal teams to resolve issues and help close opportunities.
Manage quotations through to order, working closely with customer service and commercial colleagues.
Ensure leads and prospective customers are followed up promptly.
Deliver agreed sales and margin targets.
Represent the business professionally and contribute to a proactive external-sales culture.
Attend occasional factory visits in Europe.
Requirements
Proven external sales experience, ideally within building materials, construction products or a related trade environment.
Experience selling through or working with merchants, distributors, contractors and installers.
Strong account-management and new-business-development capability.
Confident closing deals and negotiating commercially.
Excellent communication, relationship-building and customer-service skills.
Able to prioritise effectively and perform well in a fast-paced environment.
A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Intermediate Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
