My client specialises in the design, development and application of NDT inspections. They are looking to recruit an experienced Inspection Engineer for their site in Grangemouth. Skills Required: Expert knowledge of Inspection Standards, legal requirements for Inspection (e.g. PSSR, PED, Pipeline Safety Regs, API, ASME, EEMUA, PUWER, LOLER) and the design, fabrication, purpose, and operation of equipment being inspected In-depth knowledge of mechanical design codes together with their application, material properties and specification, degradation mechanisms and their prevention through design, coatings, maintenance, and operating conditions Knowledge and understanding of petrochemical site standards (COMAHH, PUWER, LOLER, HSWA, PED, DSEAR Knowledge and understanding of Offshore from an Inspection Engineering perspective Working knowledge of NDT techniques, where they can be applied and their limitationsExperience: 5 + years in inspection engineering Extensive inspection engineering experience in the following (not exhaustive); pipelines, pipework, tanks, mechanical protective devices, heat exchangers, pressure vessels and fired heaters. Experience of fabrication, design, commissioning, maintenance, inspection, turnarounds and plant operations on high hazard refining or petrochemicals sitesQualifications: Degree qualified in suitable engineering discipline (preferred but not essential) Minimum CAT II or Equivalent as per RG2
