This is not a typical operations role. It is a unique opportunity suited to a specific type of person with a broad skill set and hands-on ecommerce experience within a DTC brand. Zachary Daniels exclusively works with a growing gym wear brand founded in 2013. The business is profitable with zero debt and low overheads and is now positioned for its next phase of growth. The founder is stepping back from day-to-day operations, creating an opportunity for someone to take real ownership.
Role Overview: The role is closer to an Ecommerce Manager and General Manager combined. You will work closely with the founder and play a key role in running and scaling the business. The focus is primarily ecommerce trading and growth, with a smaller portion covering operations and admin.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ecommerce and growth: manage and optimise the Shopify store and overall performance, drive revenue through trading decisions and performance analysis, identify growth opportunities across marketing, partnerships and retail, contribute to the long-term direction of the brand.
- General management: support team development and day-to-day coordination, work closely with the founder on strategy and execution, have input into how the business scales.
- Operations and admin: manage invoices and basic financial admin, handle day-to-day operational tasks and emails, maintain organisation across the business.
About You: You will likely come from a DTC ecommerce brand, ideally within sports, fitness, apparel or lifestyle, and be used to working in small teams and taking ownership. You are hands-on, commercially aware and proactive, comfortable balancing execution with decision making, can spot opportunities and act on them, and are motivated by building and growing a brand. You're better suited to a startup-style environment rather than a large corporate one; you are adaptable, entrepreneurial and comfortable working closely with a founder.
Requirements:
- Experience with ecommerce systems and tools.
- Background in DTC ecommerce.
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience.
- A Level or equivalent.
- Office based in Chorley / commutable.
Nice to Have:
- Experience running your own business or side hustle.
- Experience in early stage or scaling brands.
This is a high impact role offering real ownership and the chance to help shape and scale a growing brand.
