The Trade Marketing Manager will play an important role in strengthening retail presence, supporting wholesale partners and ensuring customers experience a consistent and engaging brand proposition across every touchpoint. The role would suit a creative and commercially minded marketer who understands how brands operate in a retail environment and can take campaigns from strategy and planning through to execution and measurement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver trade marketing plans aligned to wider brand and commercial objectives.
  • Lead integrated campaigns across wholesale, retail and digital channels, from initial concept through to execution.
  • Work closely with wholesale partners to develop effective retail marketing activity that drives visibility, engagement and sales.
  • Plan and deliver seasonal campaigns, product launches and key commercial initiatives.
  • Develop and manage retail marketing assets including POS, in-store displays, promotional materials and digital content.
  • Partner with internal teams across Brand, Ecommerce, Sales and Product to ensure campaigns are aligned and delivered effectively.
  • Support the development of customer-facing content across social media, email and other digital channels.
  • Use customer, market and competitor insight to identify opportunities and inform campaign planning.
  • Manage campaign timelines, budgets, agencies and external partners where required.
  • Monitor campaign performance and commercial results, using data and insight to identify opportunities for optimisation.
  • Ensure all trade marketing activity is delivered consistently and in line with brand guidelines.
  • Keep up to date with retail, consumer and marketing trends to identify new opportunities for the brand and its retail partners.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in trade marketing, retail marketing or a closely related consumer marketing role.
  • Experience working within a retail, consumer, wholesale or D2C environment.
  • Strong understanding of the retail customer journey and how marketing activity can influence awareness, engagement and sales.
  • Experience delivering integrated campaigns across physical and digital channels.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Commercially aware, with confidence using campaign and sales data to assess performance and make recommendations.
  • Experience working with wholesale partners, retailers, agencies or external stakeholders would be beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels including social media, email and online content.
  • Creative thinker who can develop ideas but is equally comfortable managing the detail required to deliver them.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organised, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • A degree in Marketing, Business or a related discipline would be beneficial, although relevant industry experience will be equally valued.

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced Trade Marketing Manager to take ownership of a broad retail marketing remit, working across campaigns, launches, wholesale partnerships and customer engagement within an established consumer business.
