Merchandiser/Senior Merchandiser | Cheshire Based | 4/1 Working Pattern | £45k - £55k

Want to shape how a fast-growing business plans and trades, rather than just keep the wheels turning?

My client is one of the most exciting growth stories in right now. They've grown dramatically over the last few years and have a clear ambition to double in size over the next five. The energy is real, the culture is refreshingly relaxed and non-corporate, and the people are passionate about what they do.

That growth has outpaced their merchandising infrastructure. The current tools and processes are basic, and they need someone to build something better from the ground up. This is a rare chance to put your stamp on a function and grow your career with it.

The role

You'll lead the merchandising function, managing a small, capable team while staying hands-on yourself. You'll design and put in place the planning tools, processes and reporting the business needs to scale: OTB, range and stock planning, intake management, and trading analysis that gives the business real clarity on performance. Day to day, you'll work closely with buying, finance and senior leadership, turning data into clear, confident recommendations that drive decisions.

What they're looking for

  • Solid merchandising experience, with a strong working knowledge of a WSSI and how it drives trading decisions
  • A builder's mindset. Ideally, you've built or rebuilt a WSSI and supporting processes before, and you enjoy bringing structure where there is little
  • Strong Excel/analytical skills, with experience of planning tools a bonus
  • A genuinely hands-on approach. You're happy to roll up your sleeves as well as lead
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence people at every level
  • Experience managing or developing others, or readiness to step up into your first leadership role

Why this role?

You'll have real autonomy and visible impact from day one, in a business where your work will directly support its next stage of growth. As the company scales, so will the role and the team, so the progression potential is significant. All this comes in a supportive, down-to-earth environment where good ideas are welcomed, not buried in process.

If you're ready to build something rather than inherit it, I'd love to hear from you. Apply now!

✨Familiarity with Point of Sale Systems
