Assistant Store Manager - Petersfield
Location: Petersfield
Salary: £28,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week
Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm, plus Saturday working between 9:00am-1:00pm as part of the rota
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
We are recruiting for an Assistant Store Manager to join a growing customer-focused business in Petersfield.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone from a retail, sales, customer service or hospitality background who enjoys working in a customer-facing environment and taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of a site.
Working closely with the Store Manager, you will help drive sales, deliver excellent customer service and ensure the site remains safe, secure and well presented.
The Role
- Support the Store Manager to maximise sales and convert new customer enquiries
- Follow up leads quickly by phone, email and in person
- Build strong relationships with new and existing customers
- Promote additional products and services
- Deliver consistently high levels of customer service
- Support the day-to-day operational running of the site
- Monitor payments and follow up outstanding accounts
- Maintain accurate customer records and administration
- Carry out daily Health & Safety and security checks
- Ensure the site remains clean, safe and well presented
- Liaise with contractors and service providers when required
- Support with invoices and general administration

- Commercially aware and motivated by achieving results
- IT literate and comfortable learning new systems
- Proactive and able to solve problems using their own initiative
- Comfortable working independently as well as part of a small team
- Reliable, professional and happy taking responsibility when required
Candidates from retail management, sales, hospitality, customer service or other commercially focused environments would be well suited.
