About Us

Greenjets is an innovative engineering company developing high-performance propulsion systems for the aviation market.

Our work spans research and development, engine production, aircraft systems, technical integration and flight testing.

We are committed to delivering high-grade engineering and best-in-class propulsion for unmanned aircraft.

We do things differently.

We move fast, we experiment and we adopt technologies that push beyond the current state of the art.

Our aim is to go further, faster and more efficiently, while keeping costs competitive.

All our propulsion systems are designed, developed and manufactured in the UK.

We focus on high quality, reliable and cost effective products supported by a robust, secure and ethical supply chain.

The Role

Reporting to the Production Supervisor or Production Manager, you'll lead a team of approximately 4–8 Production Technicians, ensuring daily production targets are achieved safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

This is a genuine working Team Lead position.

You'll spend much of your time building alongside your team while providing first‑line leadership, coordinating work, removing obstacles and supporting the development and wellbeing of those around you.

You’ll become the first point of contact for operational, technical and people‑related issues, helping maintain an organised, disciplined and high‑performing production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and coordinate a team of 4–8 Production Technicians during daily operations.
  • Set clear expectations around quality, productivity, safety and behaviours.
  • Monitor production progress throughout the shift and adjust priorities to achieve delivery targets.
  • Take ownership of daily output, identifying risks early and escalating where appropriate.
  • Maintain a strong focus on right‑first‑time manufacturing and product quality.
  • Work hands‑on alongside the team, supporting assembly, troubleshooting and technical problem solving where required.
  • Act as the first point of escalation for production, technical and people‑related issues.
  • Ensure production areas remain organised, controlled, clean and operating efficiently.
  • Identify tooling, equipment or resource gaps and drive prompt resolution.
  • Promote effective use, maintenance and accountability of production tools and assets.
  • Uphold high standards of health and safety, attendance, professionalism and teamwork.
  • Coach and support team members, contributing to a positive, inclusive and high‑performance culture.
  • Support continuous improvement activities that increase productivity, quality and manufacturing efficiency.

About You

You’ll likely come from a manufacturing, engineering or production environment where you’ve developed strong technical skills and naturally progressed into leading others.

You enjoy being close to the work, helping people succeed, solving practical problems and taking ownership rather than simply supervising from a distance.

You’ll be comfortable balancing delivery, quality and people leadership in a fast‑moving manufacturing environment.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience within a manufacturing, production or assembly environment.
  • Strong hands‑on technical or mechanical assembly capability.
  • Previous experience leading, mentoring or coordinating small teams.
  • Good understanding of production processes, quality standards and safe working practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to make sound decisions under pressure and prioritise effectively.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement. High levels of accountability, organisation and attention to detail.

Experience within aerospace, automotive, defence, motorsport or other high‑precision manufacturing environments would be advantageous, but is not essential.
