I am actively recruiting on behalf of a leading Tier 1 M&E contractor whose turnover exceeds £100 million, delivering high-profile design and build project across the major project sectors across London and Europe with some of the most prestigious end user clients and main contractors. With a strong pipeline of secured work, they are at the forefront of delivering complex, high-value schemes for blue-chip clients for the foreseeable future.

They are currently seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to play a pivotal role in the delivery of a highly discreet Ministry of Defence (MoD) project in Central London , valued more than £40 million MEP . This is a long-term opportunity , with further secured work on this site for the next 10 years . In this role, you will report directly to the Project Lead & Directors, overseeing all phases of construction from design to final handover while ensuring strict adherence to security and technical requirements.

This opportunity is ideal for a technically astute and process-driven professional who has successfully delivered large-scale design & build projects from inception to completion . You should have a background in Tier 1 M&E contracting or main contracting and experience in highly regulated environments, including nuclear, MoD, data centres, life sciences, pharmaceutical, or aviation sectors .

You should be results-driven, capable of managing client expectations, meeting tight deadlines, and ensuring a high-quality, engineering-led delivery . Given the sensitive nature of the project, discretion, security clearance, and strict adherence to compliance will be essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full on-site teams and subcontractors, driving project delivery in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Take ownership of client relationships, ensuring the project aligns with their objectives and requirements.
  • Oversee project planning, execution, and completion from design to handover, coordinating with all project stakeholders.
  • Hold regular progress, design, and commercial meetings with senior management to ensure key milestones are met.
  • Maintain health and safety compliance across all project activities, ensuring the highest standards are always adhered to.
  • Procure sub-packages, contracts, and materials, ensuring the project budget is managed efficiently and effectively.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years\’ experience working as an Electrical Project Engineer within the M&E sector, with recent experience in high-value commercial projects.
  • Proven track record of managing electrical packages for projects valued at £30 million MEP or more.
  • Strong ability to manage client objectives and deal with design changes, ensuring seamless delivery.
  • Experience in fast-paced, quality-driven environments, with an eye for detail and maintaining standards under pressure.
  • Presentable and professional, with excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to foster strong working relationships with clients, site teams, and stakeholders.

Remuneration Package
