As a Residential Support Worker, you will work directly with children and young people, providing consistent care, support and positive role modelling.
Key Responsibilities
Build positive, trusting and professional relationships with young people.
Provide a safe, caring and nurturing home environment.
Support young people with emotional, behavioural and practical needs.
Encourage independence and the development of everyday life skills.
Support education, appointments, activities and community involvement.
Follow individual care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support plans.
Support young people during challenging situations calmly and compassionately.
Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing and healthy relationships.
Maintain accurate daily records and reports, and follow safeguarding procedures.
Work effectively as part of the wider care team and contribute to the home environment.
