We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to provide essential support to our clients who are navigating complex issues. As a bank support worker, you will work flexible hours, covering shifts when needed at different locations around Manchester area. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact while maintaining a flexible work-life balance. Key Responsibilities: * Provide emotional and practical support to children, young people, and adults with mental health issues, drug and alcohol misuse, and those experiencing homelessness. * Help clients develop life skills, promote independence, and facilitate access to necessary services, such as healthcare and housing. * Create and maintain a safe and supportive environment, ensuring the well-being of all clients. * Work collaboratively with other professionals, such as social workers, healthcare staff, and housing teams, to deliver holistic care. * Monitor and record the progress of clients, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records. Essential Requirements: * Experience working with vulnerable children, young people, and adults in mental health, substance misuse, or homelessness services. * Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and nights across different locations in Manchester. * A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable people. Desirable: * Relevant qualifications in health and social care, psychology, or a related field. * Experience in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques. * Current DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
