Key Responsibilities Leadership: Lead and manage a team of journalists, providing guidance, feedback, and support. Editorial Oversight: Oversee content creation, ensuring stories are compelling, accurate, and align with Yuvoice’s mission. Quality Assurance: Maintain high editorial standards across all content. Mentorship: Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and support their professional growth. Qualifications & Experience Education: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus). Equivalent professional experience in journalism may be considered in place of formal education. Experience: 5+ years of experience in journalism, news reporting, or editorial roles , with at least 2 years in a leadership or editorial management position . Strong background in investigative journalism, feature writing, or news reporting. Experience working with digital media, multimedia storytelling, or social media platforms is an advantage. Skills & Competencies: Strong storytelling and narrative development skills. Excellent editorial judgment and fact-checking ability. Ability to manage a team of journalists, providing mentorship and constructive feedback. Experience with content management systems, SEO, and audience engagement strategies. Familiarity with media law, ethical journalism practices, and press regulations. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high journalistic standards.
