About the Role
We are currently seeking a highly motivated Account Handler to join our carefully selected team of talented and committed insurance professionals. You'll ensure our clients receive suitable and cost-effective insurance solutions by understanding their needs and negotiating with insurers to find the best solutions.
Main duties:
- Working closely with Client Executives to understand client needs, including supporting meetings as required
- Managing all renewal, new and mid-term policy work as required
- Negotiating with insurers to obtain appropriate and cost effective solutions for clients
- Keeping electronic files up to date, in order and all work tasked/diarised accordingly
- Maintaining an understanding of the general insurance market and changes within the sector
The role is based at our new office in Norwich, with occasional travel to our head office in Newmarket for training, company meetings etc.
About You
This role is a great opportunity for someone who is a few years into their insurance career and wants to develop further with the support of a friendly, knowledgeable and experienced team.
You must have:
- At least 2 years' experience working in insurance, specifically in commercial lines and across a range of products
- At least a C or equivalent in GCSE Maths and English
- At least Cert CII qualification or willing to work towards
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) with an interest in AI
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
- Good attention to detail
- Be a good team player whilst also having an independent problem solving approach to work
Ideally, you will have a working knowledge of Acturis. Additionally, you’ll be naturally curious and proactive, with a talent for building trusted relationships internally and externally, and for delivering fair customer outcomes. You'll think beyond the obvious, confidently evaluating options and proposing practical solutions. Adaptable and organised, you can manage competing priorities with ease and communicate ideas clearly to influence outcomes.
About the Package
- Salary: £25k - £35k depending on experience
