About the role: As a Student Content Creator, you’ll be at the heart of collecting content at our evening/weekend events on campus. Whether it’s interviewing artists at Battle of the Bands or filming the glitz of Glitter; you’ll be using your social media expertise to produce high-quality content across a wide range of our events and in our venues. Since this role is focused on our commercial activities on campus, the post holder will be required to regularly work evenings and weekends. However, we will always endeavour to schedule shifts around your studies and other commitments.

To support diversity of student applicants, we now offer the option for applicants to answer the main application form questions using a video submission as an alternative to providing a written response. If you would feel more comfortable submitting your answers this way, please provide your personal information on the application form, where you will then find information and guidance on what to include and how to upload your video answers alongside the application form.

Working at York SU: At York SU we know that maintaining a great work life balance also improves our team’s wellbeing, productivity and happiness, this is why we offer a range of contract sizes to fit around your studies and home life.

Whatever your background, religion, identity, relationship status, if you’re good at what you do and want to provide the best experience possible for, with and by our students then jump in with your whole self. York SU is committed to equality of opportunity – we are an organisation who works very hard to ensure we appoint based on merit. We would particularly welcome applications from candidates with disabilities and/or from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds.
