Job Details
We are recruiting a skilled Property Maintenance Operative to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. Salary £27,500 per annum. Shift: Mon-Fri 8:30-5:00. Sites: Northampton and Milton Keynes, occasional support at other sites. Company vehicle provided. Candidates with 2–3 years of building maintenance experience, preferably in a logistics environment, and/or previous facilities or caretaker experience are encouraged to apply.

Role
As a Property Maintenance Operative, you will work as part of a dedicated team to ensure our premises are maintained safely and effectively, meeting Health & Safety and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting and monitoring contractors on site, ensuring compliance with pre-approved risk assessments and method statements
- Conducting routine and scheduled maintenance inspections and basic repairs, adhering to machinery regulations and Health & Safety protocols
- Updating information via our electronic online portal
- Carrying out a variety of tasks such as plumbing, carpentry, and painting to keep our sites fully operational
- Working in a physical, hands‑on capacity, which may occasionally involve working at heights
Additional Responsibilities
- Identify and report the need for major repairs
- Use PPE as required
- Undertake regular site audits and elevate any abnormalities
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- 2–3 years’ experience in general building maintenance
- Basic plumbing and carpentry skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Good organisational and problem‑solving abilities
- A good level of IT literacy
- A full, valid driving licence with no more than 6 points
