Location: Northampton, NN7 (SDC Northampton site, NN7 2QA); occasional travel to Milton Keynes site (Tilbrook, MK7 8BN) for induction and onboarding.
Working Hours: Full‑time, permanent, Monday to Friday, 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm. Some weekend work may be required.
Role: As a Warehouse Operative, you will support the smooth day‑to‑day running of our Northampton warehouse, performing a variety of tasks and general duties including the operation of Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) and automation systems, loading and unloading trailers, handling goods correctly to minimise damage, completing relevant paperwork and utilising MHE and automation systems.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and utilise personal protective equipment.
- Complete equipment checks and any risk assessments.
- Seek ways to improve processes and drive efficiency.
- Communicate any concerns or issues to your team leader or manager.
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse experience.
- An FLT, counterbalance, reach truck or pallet stacker licence (A2).
- Good levels of literacy and numeracy.
- Awareness of manual handling techniques.
- Team‑working skills.
- The ability to work to tight deadlines within a fast‑paced environment.
- Attention to detail.
- A full, valid driving licence (required for occasional travel to the Milton Keynes site).
