Transport Operator (Nights) – Northampton (NN4 5FB) – Sunday to Thursday

We’re looking for an experienced Transport Operator to join our night team at our Grange Park site in Northampton. If you enjoy a quieter shift, more autonomy and being part of a supportive transport operation, this role could be ideal.

Shift & Hours

Sunday to Thursday 22:00 – 06:30 Stable night pattern with no rotating shifts

Pay

£29,536.38 + £1,872 night shift allowance Competitive package with opportunities to develop and progress

What You’ll Be Doing

  • You’ll be coordinating deliveries and collections from our Northampton site, ensuring drivers have everything they need to complete their routes safely and on time.
  • Planning and updating routes
  • Briefing and debriefing drivers
  • Managing any issues that arise and keeping the operation running smoothly
  • Recording abnormalities and updating paperwork
  • Ensuring compliance with WTD, EU regs and site procedures

This is a quieter shift with fewer interruptions, giving you more control and ownership of the transport plan.

  • Experience in a Transport Operator / Transport Planner role
  • Strong route planning skills
  • Knowledge of WTD, EU Driver Regulations and fleet procedures
  • Calm under pressure and able to adapt quickly
  • Confident communicator with a proactive approach
