We are seeking an Inventory Controller for our Northampton site (NN4 5FB). The role involves supporting all stock movements and ensuring they are accurately recorded to maintain the integrity of stock valuation. You will help deliver a first class service to both our customers and Yusen Logistics (UK) Ltd, while maintaining strong communication and working within operational requirements. This is a warehouse-based role involving the packaging of products, with some manual handling required (up to 15 kg). We’re looking for someone who is customer-focused, a strong team player, and eager to learn and develop.

Main Responsibilities

  • Managing stock control & updating WMS.
  • Accurate stock counting, sometimes picking stock at height via a scissor lift MHE.
  • Assisting Operations & Customer Services with queries.
  • Assisting with proactive investigations of any stock discrepancies.
  • Assisting the Team Leader with stock takes and customer counts.
  • Maintain systems with accurate and real-time data.
  • Provide accurate reporting to colleagues or customers as and when required.
  • Take responsibility for themselves and others at all times observing Health and Safety and any related laws governing the workplace.
  • Able to assist in other duties reasonably requested by the Team Leader and Management.

Main Skills & Experience

  • Experience from an administration and stock control environment.
  • A MHE Counter Balance licence would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Proactive and flexible approach.
  • Ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and attend to those most important first.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong numeracy/literacy.
  • Experience of using MS Outlook and Excel.
