We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative (nights) to be based at our site in Erith (DA18 4AF) on a full-time, permanent basis, working Monday – Friday, 11 pm – 7:30 am. As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient warehouse operations at our Erith site. Specifically, you will work across a variety of warehouse tasks, all while following our high standards and procedures to keep everything running like clockwork. This role will be referred to internally as “General Operative”.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working across all areas of the operation including receiving, picking, putting away, replenishment and dispatch.
  • Participating in general warehouse duties where manual handling would be involved in the process.
  • Continuously look to improve processes and procedures to drive efficiency and improvement in business operation and customer service.
  • Ensure any concerns, issues or variances are immediately communicated to your line manager to allow appropriate action to be taken at the earliest opportunity.
  • Ensure all company procedures are adhered to, including absence, performance, standards of behaviour, taking due consideration of company values.
  • Ensuring 5S standards are always maintained.
  • Ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to, including PPE, escalating any concerns to your line manager at the earliest opportunity.
  • Ensure all equipment checks are carried out in accordance with procedure, raising any defects to the Line Manager.

Key Requirements

  • Previous warehouse experience.
  • Awareness of manual handling techniques and able to handle repetitive lifting, as well as two-man handling of heavy goods.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
  • A team player with a flexible, proactive attitude.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills.
