We are recruiting for a Warehouse Nightshift General Operative to join our team at our established site in Leeds (LS9 0SG) and work on our key Howdens contract. The role offers a salary of £27,969.28 with a £1,872 night allowance, working Monday to Friday (finishing shift on Saturday AM) on a 22:00 to 06:30 shift pattern.

Responsibilities

As a Warehouse Nightshift General Operative, you will perform a variety of warehouse duties to support nightshift operations for our key Howdens contract. You will receive, pick, put away, replenish and dispatch items in an efficient, safe and timely manner. You will report to the Warehouse Manager and ensure all equipment checks are carried out in accordance with procedures, raising any defects to your line manager.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience of working in a warehouse environment
  • A desire to continuously look to improve processes and procedures to improve efficiency
  • Understand the value of attaining the highest levels of customer service
  • Awareness of manual handling techniques
  • To comply with all Health & Safety legislation
  • To commit to working night shift pattern
  • A minimum level of education, GCSEs (or equivalent) and have a good understanding of both written and verbal English
  • To be literate and numerate
  • The ability to work as part of a team
  • Attention to detail
