We are now seeking an LGV Class 1 Day Driver to join us at our Leeds depot on a shift pattern of Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday shifts starting around 04:00 am (9 hour Shift). Some flexibility may be needed to fit in with the needs of the business.
The Salary for this role is £37,856.5 with a Company Pension Scheme, 25 days holidays (excluding bank holidays) + 5 days Volunteer Leave per year, tailored development and ongoing training and support, free car parking, free uniform, free ongoing training and development programme, Critical Illness Cover, Employee Referral Scheme, Cycle to Work Scheme, and free online fitness platform including Pilates & Yoga, Mindfulness & Meditation, 24/7 support, advice, diet & nutrition. As an LGV Class 1 Driver, you will complete deliveries and collections of automotive products on behalf of a worldwide brand. There is no manual handling, although you will be expected to ensure the products are secure.
About You: To be considered as an LGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:
- A full, valid driving LGV Class 1 licence
- At least one year’s commercial LGV Class 1 driving experience
- A maximum of six points on your licence (excluding BA, CD, DD, DR, or DG codes)
- A valid DCPC qualification
- A valid Digital Tachograph card
- Excellent communication skills
- To be customer-focused
- To be able to work within a team environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- A flexible approach to your work and the ability to start at different times if necessary
