Are you an aspiring Business Architect and want to progress your career in the exciting and varied world of logistics? As an integral part of the Business Development team, you will play a pivotal role in maturing the architecture function. The role will operate on the frontier of exploring, capturing, and analysing the business architecture. This is a developmental role taking you from Associate Business Architect to a fully certified Business Architect via full training & TOGAF qualification. You will join a team responsible for maintaining the Enterprise Architecture repository and creating architecture insights for transformation initiatives. Other core responsibilities include contributing to transformation projects/programmes, creating and supporting innovative ways of gathering architecture data, and contributing to the growth of the Business Architecture capability. The role will offer a starting salary of £25,000 – £30,000 (DOE) per annum plus a £5,000 car allowance and offers the opportunity to work remotely up to 4 days per week. The benefits: – £25,000 – £30,000 depending on experience (DOE) – £5000 car allowance – Full training – Pension scheme – Comprehensive private family health cover – 25 days\’ holiday (excluding bank holidays) and 5 days Volunteer Leave per year – Opportunity for Unpaid Leave – Up to 10 days international remote working – Critical Illness Cover – MyStrength Wellbeing App – Free online Fitness Platform i.e. Pilates & Yoga, Mindfulness/Meditation, 24/7 support, advice, diet and Nutrition – Employee benefits i.e. Free eye test, up to 25% off gym membership, high street vouchers – Free access to 24/7 online GP, mental health support service, Life Events Counselling, Care Concierge Service – Tailored development and career opportunities Key Responsibilities: DELIVERY: -Work closely in collaboration with the wider business to discover architecture data to maintain the quality of the Enterprise Architecture repository -Support the definitions of current Architecture states through maintenance of the Enterprise Architecture Repository ensuring that the Business Architecture data is kept up to date -Support and maintain the establishment of trust in Business Architecture through continual commitment to excellence through accurate and valuable insights CUSTOMER: -Build excellent working relationships with stakeholders from across the business enabling effective collaboration in understanding and documenting the Business Architecture estate -Work closely with programme and project teams, including Business Analysts, Project Managers, and the Project Management Office to contribute to change and transformation initiatives SYSTEMS & TECHNOLOGY: -Contribute to the growth and development of the Enterprise Architecture repository in-line with the Business Architecture maturity roadmap and collaboration with technology suppliers -Continual personal development through keeping abreast of technological advancements and provide recommendations for their utilisation to enhance the UK Yusen Business Architecture -Contribute to the evaluation and select appropriate technology solutions that adhere to Yusen business principles PROCESS & GOVERNANCE: -Help implement and mature the Business Architecture governance policies and procedures -Assume accountability as custodian of Business Architecture data, governance policies and procedures -Participate as a member of the Business Architecture team and wider Change & Transformation communities -Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Business Architecture -Communicate technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders -Identify areas for process improvement and recommend solutions -Contribute to the proactive assessment and enhancement proposals of existing Business Architecture Knowledge, skills and experience: -As a developmental role, previous Business Architect or Analysis experience is not essential but is an advantage -Outstanding candidates with business related experience will also be considered -Educated to undergraduate degree is an advantage -Educated to A-level standard or equivalent -Business related qualifications and/or Stem subjects are desirable but not essential -Experience working in a logistics environment, encompassing warehousing, transport, freight forwarding, etc. is desirable but not essential -Practical proficiency in basic Microsoft Office suite is essential, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word and PowerPoint -Exposure to Architecture frameworks (i.e. TOGAF) is desirable but not essential as full training will be given -Practical proficiency of Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI and Power Automate is desirable -Able to demonstrate strong analytical skills with the ability to think conceptually and abstract -Able to connect and communicate across different organisational levels -Exhibits commitment, reliability, honesty, teamwork and accountability -Proactively engage in continuous learning, creativity and problem-solving initiatives We thank all applicants for their interest, however, only those under consideration will be contacted.
