Warehouse Operations Manager
Location: Centurion Way, Erith (DA18 4AF)
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 05:00 to 17:00, with occasional night shifts as required.

About the Role
As Warehouse Operations Manager, you will take full ownership of day‑to‑day operations at our Erith site – ensuring everything runs safely, compliantly and in line with company processes. You will lead, coach and develop the warehouse team, embed a strong health and safety culture, and ensure all colleagues follow procedures consistently. You will also oversee recruitment, training, performance management and succession planning to maintain a high‑performing operation, and support financial performance by managing the site’s P&L, controlling costs and ensuring operational activity aligns with budgeted targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive a process‑led culture across all warehouse activities
- Lead and develop the warehouse team, ensuring compliance with H&S and operational procedures
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, training and ongoing performance
- Support and conduct investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, and return to work meetings
- Act as the main point of contact for customer queries and inquiries outside standard working hours
- Oversee facilities management and ensure contractors follow safe systems of work
- Carry out equipment and safety checks to maintain a compliant working environment
- Ensure KPIs are tracked, analysed and improved through structured action plans
- Manage on‑site contractors in line with company policies and safe control procedures
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience managing day‑to‑day warehouse operations
- Strong supervisory/management experience within a logistics environment
- Demonstrable experience conducting disciplinaries, grievances, investigations and return‑to‑work meetings
- A process-driven mindset with the ability to embed structure and compliance
- Strong understanding of HSE regulations, risk assessments and safe working practices
- Experience tracking, analysing and improving KPIs
- Proficiency in WMS and strong IT skills (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
