We are looking for Warehouse Operatives to perform a variety of tasks and general duties, including the operation of MHE. The roles will follow a 5 out of 7 shift pattern (weekend work will be required) and initially will require the capacity to travel to our Milton Keynes site (Tilbrook - MK7 8BN) to support induction, onboarding and migration to our new warehouse. From end of July 2026 the role will then be permanently sited at SDC Northampton (NN7 2QA). The roles will offer an annual salary of £28,537.32 and the shift is 06:00 -14:00.

Key responsibilities:
- Operations: Safely load and unload products onto trailers, ensuring all company procedures are adhered to. Ensure all goods are handled in the correct manner to ensure that damage is kept to a minimum and manual handling techniques are followed to prevent injury and harm. Complete relevant paperwork to confirm loading and unloading activities have been carried out for audit purposes. Carry out any other reasonable requests to support the effective running of the warehouse.
- MHE & Automation: As directed in accordance with training, appropriately use material handling equipment to support operational processes. Monitor, operate, and support automated warehouse systems, including Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV), 4-way shuttle, Goods to Person (GTP) and automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS).
- Health and Safety (H&S): Ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to, including PPE, taking appropriate action where procedures are not being adhered to or could be improved. Ensure all equipment checks are carried out in accordance with procedure, taking appropriate action to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Maintain and update site Risk Assessments, Safe System of Work and working instructions.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously look to improve processes and procedures to drive efficiency and improvement in business operation and customer service.
- Communication: Ensure any concerns, issues or variances to instructions are immediately communicated to your line manager to allow appropriate action to be taken at the earliest opportunity.
- Company Procedures: Ensure all company procedures are adhered to, including absence, performance, standards of behaviour, taking due consideration of company values.
Key requirements:
- FLT licence: counterbalance, reach truck licences or pallet stacker (A2). A4 category will be highly desirable.
- Willingness to undertake additional training (A4 licence etc.).
- Manual lifting up to 20 kg will be required.
- Good level of general education, including good understanding of both written and verbal English.
- Driving licence (some travel to Milton Keynes site will be required during the period to end of July 2026).
- Literate and numerate.
- Previous warehouse experience.
- Awareness of manual handling techniques is necessary.
- Previous experience of interacting with automated systems is an advantage.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to withstand pressure and work to tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail.
