To support our continued growth and digitalisation journey, we are looking for an EU Head of WMS to lead our European Warehouse Management Systems organisation and help shape the future of Contract Logistics technology across Europe.
Your Role
As EU Head of WMS, you are responsible for defining and executing the European WMS strategy and roadmap, ensuring our Warehouse Management Systems continue to support the growth, efficiency and digital transformation of our Contract Logistics business. You will lead a geographically dispersed team of WMS specialists and managers across Europe, driving operational excellence, system optimisation, vendor partnerships and project delivery. Acting as the key link between Business, IT and external partners, you ensure that our WMS landscape remains scalable, innovative and aligned with both European and Global strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the European WMS strategy and roadmap in line with RSSC IT and Global WMS objectives
- Lead and develop the European WMS team across multiple countries
- Ensure high-quality support, incident management and service delivery for strategic WMS platforms
- Drive WMS implementations, upgrades and optimisation projects across Europe
- Build strong relationships with WMS vendors and external partners
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardisation and cost optimisation
- Manage the European WMS budget and governance framework
- Collaborate closely with Contract Logistics, IT Operations and business stakeholders across Europe
- Support digitalisation initiatives and innovation within the warehouse technology landscape
Who You Are
- Experienced people leader with a strong background in WMS environments and large-scale IT or business applications
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and Contract Logistics processes
- Experience working with WMS platforms such as Manhattan, Blue Yonder, Oracle, SAP WM/EWM or similar solutions
- Familiar with EDI, APIs, integrations and application ecosystems
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills in international environments
- Experienced in project and programme delivery within matrix organisations
- Fluent in English
- Willing to travel across Europe (approximately 15%)
