We're looking for enthusiastic and driven Warehouse Team Members (FLT Drivers) to join us at our Derby site (DE65 6BG). You will support the effective running of the warehouse operation in a multitude of tasks, including loading and unloading LGV Vehicles, operating a forklift truck, picking and palletising products. You will be expected to work Sunday evening until Friday morning, between 22:00-06:30, but may be required to work overtime on occasions to fit in with the needs of the business.
Responsibilities- Safely load and unload products onto trailers, ensuring all company procedures are adhered to.
- Ensure all goods are handled in the correct manner to keep damage to a minimum and follow manual handling techniques to prevent injury and harm.
- Complete relevant paperwork to confirm loading and unloading activities have been carried out for audit purposes, as necessary.
- Carry out any other warehouse tasks to support the effective running of the warehouse.
- Receive, pick, put away, replenish and dispatch goods.
- Participate in general warehouse duties that involve manual handling.
- Continuously look to improve processes and procedures to drive efficiency and customer service.
- Communicate any concerns, issues or variances to your line manager, allowing appropriate action to be taken at the earliest opportunity.
- Adhere to all company procedures, including absence, performance, standards of behaviour, and take due consideration of company values.
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures, including PPE, and promptly report any concerns to your line manager.
- Carry out all equipment checks in accordance with procedure, raising any defects to your line manager.
- Previous warehouse experience is essential.
- Awareness of manual handling techniques is an advantage.
- FLT counterbalance licence (minimum of 12 months’ experience).
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to withstand pressure and work to tight deadlines.
