We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative (nights) based at our Erith site (DA18 4AF) on a full‑time, permanent basis, Monday‑Friday, 11 pm – 7:30 am. This role, internally called "General Operative", is key to ensuring smooth and efficient warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
- Work across all areas of the operation, including receiving, picking, putting away, replenishment and dispatch.
- Participate in general warehouse duties involving manual handling.
- Continuously look to improve processes and procedures to drive efficiency and customer service.
- Immediately communicate any concerns, issues or variances to the line manager to allow appropriate action.
- Adhere to all company procedures, including absence, performance, standards of behaviour and company values.
- Maintain 5S standards at all times.
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including PPE, and report any concerns promptly.
- Carry out equipment checks according to procedure and report defects to the line manager.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience.
- Awareness of manual handling techniques, capable of repetitive lifting and two‑man handling of heavy goods.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with strict deadlines.
- Team player with a flexible, proactive attitude.
- Attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Must have legal right to work in the UK; the position does not offer visa sponsorship.
