Our Senior People (HR) Advisor plays a critical role in delivering end-to-end HR operational support across the employee lifecycle. Acting as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, this role ensures a seamless people experience by providing timely, accurate guidance and coordination. Working closely with the Agency People Team (consisting of a Head of HR and People (Business) Partner), Central People Services Hub (for HR admin), Payroll, and key stakeholders, the HR Advisor helps drive operational efficiency while maintaining high service standards.

Responsibilities
  • Onboarding
    • Manage onboarding processes including Workday approvals and right-to-work (RTW) checks.
    • Coordinate with IT and relevant teams on equipment provisioning.
    • Ensure a smooth and positive new joiner experience including the management and delivery of induction meetings for new joiners.
  • Offboarding
    • Ensure resignations are appropriately forwarded to the hub for processing.
    • Coordinate with People Services Hub on any escalation points relating to contract closure and final pay.
    • Facilitate exit interviews.
  • Employee Relations
    • Provide guidance on absence management, performance management, wellbeing, and policy interpretation.
    • Support managers with employee cases, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes.
    • Provide coaching and guidance for managing ER processes.
    • Promote a supportive working environment.
  • Payroll & Benefits
    • Direct our colleagues to the Central People services hub as a first point of contact for payroll-related queries.
    • Provide assistance on maternity, paternity, adoption and (e.g., maternity pay, bonuses).
    • Liaise with Payroll and People Services to resolve issues.
    • Communicate clearly with employees on timelines and resolutions.
  • HR Operations
    • Maintain and update employee data in our People HR stats and reporting processes.
    • Manage approvals and administrative changes.
    • Support fixed term contractor extensions, system access requests, and name changes.

  • Coordinating multiple active leaver processes in partnership with People Services Hub.
  • Supporting ongoing employee relations cases (e.g., absence and wellbeing).
  • Handling high volumes of ad-hoc employee queries with quick turnaround expectations.
  • Processing system updates and operational requests efficiently.
