Senior Account Manager / Contract About the Role: A Tobacco client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Freelance Senior Account Manager to join our dedicated Formula 1 account management team. This role will be crucial in ensuring the successful execution of the partnership activations within the Formula 1 ecosystem. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Formula 1 , a passion for the sport, and a proven track record in event management, client management, and stakeholder management. This role requires a highly organised and proactive individual capable of working independently and as part of a dynamic team. The client would also consider someone to go temp to perm. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute strategic plans for the tobacco client’s presence at designated Formula 1 races and events, ensuring alignment with overall marketing objectives. Manage all aspects of event logistics, including venue liaison, supplier management, budgeting, and on-site coordination. Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates and ensuring their needs are met throughout the project lifecycle. Build and maintain strong relationships with key Formula 1 personnel and other relevant stakeholders. Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of F1 activations, providing insights and recommendations for future improvements. Manage project budgets and ensure cost-effective execution of all activities. Develop and deliver post-event reports, analysing key performance indicators and providing recommendations for future events. Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, particularly within the Formula 1 landscape. Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including marketing, communications, and legal, to ensure seamless execution of projects. Role Requirements: Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of Formula 1, including its commercial aspects, teams, and key players. A genuine passion for Formula 1. Proven experience in a similar account management or event management role, ideally within the sports or entertainment industry. Desired Skills and Experiences: 5+ years of experience in event management, with a focus on large-scale events. Excellent client management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships. Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders with competing priorities. Strong project management skills, with a meticulous attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to travel internationally as required. Experience working with global brands (desirable). Experience working within a regulated industry (desirable). Other: This role requires flexibility to work outside of standard business hours, including weekends and evenings, particularly during race weekends. Access to a reliable internet connection and a suitable workspace for remote working is essential.
