We are looking for a Creative Artworker, ideally with experience in typesetting and layout to join a small Studio within the company.

Working with another Creative Artworker, you will produce high quality, print ready artwork either from scratch or utilising existing artwork for a wide-ranged client base including the NHS and large housing associations.

We are looking for an individual who is meticulous in their reviewing of artwork but also has a creative flair in design.

We must stress, this is not a 100% design-based role, however there will be times when artwork will require to be designed from briefing stage to production.

About the Role

We are looking for a Creative Artworker, ideally with experience in typesetting and layout to join a small Studio within the company.

Responsibilities

  • To provide an efficient and accurate service to both internal and external customers for production of artwork and proofs.
  • To maintain and improve current working systems and procedures.
  • Maintenance of computer hardware & software.
  • Accurate production of artwork and proofs for customers as per written instructions supplied.
  • Correct supply of high quality, print ready artwork to relevant suppliers.
  • Advising internal staff on artwork issues and requirements.
  • General housekeeping of files in correct manner on the artwork server.
  • Responsible use of the companies network, internet and email systems.
  • Maintain security of data held by company.
  • Required Skills
  • Ability to set artwork using Creative Suite based on written instructions or scanned images.
  • Previous experience of utilising Creative Suite (this includes: Illustrator, In Design, Photoshop and Acrobat).
  • Previous experience of designing artwork for both digital and/or print based on brand guidelines.
  • Previous experience of using Microsoft Suite (This includes: Outlook, Word, Power Point and Publisher).
  • Knowledge of CMYK/RGB colouring and how to amend based on type of artwork (digital or print).
  • Good communication with relevant people regarding completion of artwork.
  • Good time-management and the ability to be self-proficient.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to check over artwork before production (colouring, fonts, typos etc.).
  • Strong eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Competent with Mac Os.
