A Fintech client is seeking a senior freelance CRM Manager with deep, hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud expertise to provide immediate short-term cover and operational leadership following a CRM team transition. The role will stabilise, execute, and optimise CRM programs across lifecycle, campaign, and automated communications. This is a high-impact delivery role requiring strong technical platform capability, execution excellence, and strategic CRM thinking. The successful candidate must be able to operate independently, move quickly, and ensure continuity of CRM operations and performance.
Contract type: Initial 6-month rolling contract
Immediate start required
Hybrid: 3 office days in London at the client site.
Core Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day execution in Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- Build, QA, launch, and optimise CRM campaigns – both ad-hoc and existing journeys
- Configure and manage journeys, automations, and triggered communications
- Manage segmentation, audience selection, and data extensions
- Execute lifecycle and promotional CRM programs end-to-end
Marketing Cloud Operations
- Work hands-on across:
- Journey Builder
- Email Studio
- Automation Studio
- Contact Builder / Data Extensions
- Triggered sends
Performance & Optimisation
- Monitor campaign performance and recommend optimisations
- Run A/B tests and structured experimentation
- Improve engagement, conversion, and retention metrics
- Translate performance data into actionable CRM improvements
Collaboration & Stakeholder Support
- Work with strategy, marketing, product, analytics, and compliance teams
- Support briefing → build → QA → launch workflows
- Provide clear delivery timelines and status updates
- Coordinate with creative and content teams on assets and templates
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure CRM activity meets regulatory and compliance standards (fintech/payments environment preferred)
- Maintain strong QA and approval processes
- Reduce risk in deployment and data usage
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong senior-level hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- Proven track record delivering CRM campaigns at scale
- Deep experience with Journey Builder and Automation Studio
- Strong segmentation and data handling capability
- Experience with triggered and behavioural messaging
- CRM performance optimisation and testing experience
- Ability to work independently and stabilise CRM operations quickly
- Strong QA discipline and process rigour
- Comfortable working in fast-moving, high-accountability environments

- Fintech, payments, or regulated industry experience
- Multi-market CRM programs
