Are you a forward thinking and aspiring undergraduate ready to take your next steps in your career? Yunex Traffic is looking for aspiring undergraduates to join our Global People and Sustainability team on a 12-month internship contract as part of our Intern Development Programme.

Here is a taste of what you can expect from this internship:
- As an Intern in the Global Sustainability and Strategy Team, you will play a key role in supporting the Sustainability Manager in implementing the Sustainability Strategy across Yunex Traffic.
- You will have the opportunity to develop an in-depth understanding of a company ESG Framework and how to implement it cross functionally and cross regionally in an effective and organized manner.
Role Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Sustainability Manager in delivering the broader sustainability strategy and other related projects.
- Communicate the ESG Framework cross-functionally, ensuring ESG measure implementation across contributing business functions such as Human Resources, Real Estate, Procurement & Logistics, Integrated Management Systems, Business Excellence, Accounting, Legal & Compliance, and Cybersecurity.
- Coordinate the delivery of ESG metrics and figures for internal and external reporting, ensuring support functions provide quantitative and qualitative input in a timely manner for validation.
- Support with the overall digitalisation of ESG KPIs to support transparency towards employees, shareholders, compliance towards audit corrective actions, and internal controls.
- Support the Yunex Traffic cross-functional Sustainability team to fulfil legal requirements, ratings and standards e.g. from the European Union (EU) Commission such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), EU Taxonomy, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and look into upcoming regulations like Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD).
- Research upcoming relevant compliance and regulation to support the futureproofing of our operations.
- Organise employee engagement activities and showcase sustainability stories, case studies and highlights internally and externally.
- Support the Sustainability team on the input for the Yunex Traffic Annual Sustainability Report.
The location of this role will be: Poole, Dorset. Our offices are based 2.5 miles outside Poole city centre and half an hour from Bournemouth. There are frequent direct bus services as well as ample free onsite parking.
The candidate: We are looking for a forward-thinking, inquisitive candidate who demonstrates the following characteristics:
- Studying for their undergraduate degree, ideally in a Sustainability related subject.
- An individual with a strong interest in Sustainability and Environmental issues.
- Detail orientated, with excellent research skills.
- Able to think critically and generate innovative ideas.
- Analytical with strong data processing skills and background.
- Proficient in IT and Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel and preferably PowerBI.
- A strong communicator, written and verbal, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to multi-task, working on many activities and be aware of multiple deadlines.
- Able to communicate positively and confidently, with Senior Stakeholders, and colleagues, both Local and Global.
Whilst not essential, it would be a bonus if you already have:
- Experience and understanding of sustainability and carbon emissions reporting.

For this role, we will be holding virtual interviews, some roles may also require attendance to an in-person interview, or assessment centre. Assessment centres typically include a combination of tasks and activities such as group problem-solving tasks, individual interviews, presentations, and role simulation exercises. Interviews are typically competency based and a chance for us to find out what your motivations are for your next career.
Our Interns will join the business on 7th September 2026, so you must be available from this date.
