We’re now looking for a skilled Electronics Production Technician to join our Surface Mount Technology PCBA production team. If you’re passionate about electronics, precision, and solving technical challenges, you’ll fit right in.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out high-quality optical inspection of PCBAs using the latest inspection technologies
- Perform first-line fault finding and rework to maintain high production yields
- Develop and refine Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) programs
- Maintain manufacturing traceability and quality records
- Support continuous improvement through structured root‑cause analysis
- Perform routine first-line maintenance on production equipment
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues
- Maintain strong safety, organisation, and housekeeping standards in your production cell
Qualifications & Experience:
- Strong communication skills, working with a fast-moving and collaborative team
- A practical problem‑solver with a proactive approach to maintaining output and quality
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high manufacturing standards
- Ability to prioritise effectively across a high-mix production schedule
Required:
- Experience in medium/high-volume PCBA manufacturing
- IPC‑A‑610 certified [Class II] (or significant practical experience)
- Strong IT literacy (Windows OS / basic systems)
Desirable:
- IPC 7711/7721 rework/modification
- Experience with AOI
- HNC/NVQ Level 3 in Electronics or similar
- Awareness of modern PCBA manufacturing technologies
