Are you a forward thinking and aspiring undergraduate ready to take your next steps in your career? Yunex Traffic is looking for aspiring undergraduates to join our Systems and Digitalisation team on a 12-month internship contract as part of our Intern Development Programme.
As our cities get bigger and more complex, Yunex Traffic makes mobility safer, more efficient, and more sustainable with forward-looking infrastructure and transport solutions. Yunex Traffic designs, markets, manufactures, installs, and maintains a wide portfolio of international traffic management products and is the UK market leader in the traffic signal business. This includes intersection and pedestrian traffic controllers, intelligent urban traffic control systems, variable message signs, public transport, and car park guidance systems to enhance road safety and improve traffic flow in congested urban and inter-urban areas.

Here is a taste of what you can expect from this internship:
- Work with teams from across our company to gain in-depth knowledge and understanding of business systems and process.
- Connect with people and bring them together to identify business process challenges.
- Learn to use tools such as PowerApps and Power BI to collect and process data.
- Help our teams understand and visualise data so they can make key business decisions.
- Develop requirements and find solutions that will be used by our teams to improve the business and provide an enhanced customer experience.
The location of this apprenticeship role will be: Poole, Dorset.
The candidate: We are looking for forward-thinking, inquisitive candidates who demonstrate the following characteristics:
- Studying for their bachelor’s degree, ideally in a STEM subject (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts or Maths).
- Engage with people and teams at all levels of our business, including Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Finance and Services.
- Think creatively, using available tools to develop solutions to challenges.
- Use a range of IT and digital tools, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Learn new concepts and principles.
Whilst not essential, it would be a bonus if you already have experience with:
- Low-Code development, such as PowerApps or Mendix.
- Data management in Azure/AWS/SQL or Business Analytics (BA) tools.

Recruitment Process: Applications for our Internships will close on 2nd February 2026. For this role, we will be holding virtual interviews, some roles may also require attendance to an in-person interview, or assessment centre. Assessment centres typically include a combination of tasks and activities such as group problem-solving tasks, individual interviews, presentations, and role simulation exercises. Interviews are typically competency based and a chance for us to find out what your motivations are for your next career.
Our Interns will join the business on 7th September 2026, so you must be available from this date.
