Here is a taste of what you can expect from this graduate role:

  • Promote a safety culture driven by positive safety behaviours.
  • Support day-to-day service depot activities that ensure a safe and organised working environment.
  • Plan and manage works (both installation and maintenance) including resource and material allocation.
  • Manage costs, utilisation and variations to ensure delivery of revenue and margin targets.
  • Ensure works are completed timely and within scope and budget.
  • Report on progress and important metrics.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular communication, effectively organising and leading customer meetings, and ensuring a positive experience throughout project delivery.
  • Ensure all employees and contractors work safely through monthly site audits and promoting continuous adherence to best-practice safety standards.
  • Analyse and report on financial performance.
  • Promote a high performing culture to deliver strategic aim and vision.
  • Provide effective team communication through regular engagement.
  • Support national and local business improvement projects.
  • Develop your leadership and people management skills.

The primary location for this role will be Normanton, which is the focal point of our North East operations. There will also be opportunities to work closely with our Lowton depot in the North West and to build strong relationships across the wider North of England region.

The candidate:

We are looking for forward-thinking, inquisitive candidates who demonstrate the following characteristics:

  • Achieved or be on track to achieve a 2:1 or above in a relevant degree (with preference given to electrical/electronic or civil engineering), usually in a STEM or Business-related subject, having a desire to contribute in a challenging and diverse environment.
  • You think logically, are willing to self-learn and research, and take a creative approach to problem solving.
  • You work independently, safely and responsibly; taking ownership of challenges and ideas and are looking to develop your ability to drive and lead change.
  • You are an effective communicator, confident in expressing ideas clearly, adapting your style for different audiences, and able to build strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
  • You enjoy collaborating with others to find innovative solutions and are a self-motivated self-starter.
  • Have the ability to learn and adapt, recognising changing trends and tackle the unexpected with enthusiasm.

Minimum Educational Requirements:

  • Achieved or be on track to achieve a 2:1 or above in a relevant degree (with preference given to electrical/electronic or civil engineering).

Recruitment Process:

Applications for this Graduate role will close on 13th March 2026. For this role, we will be holding in-person interviews in Poole, some roles may also require attendance to a virtual interview, or in person assessment centre. Assessment centres typically include a combination of tasks and activities such as group problem-solving tasks, individual interviews, presentations, and role simulation exercises. Interviews are typically competency based and a chance for us to find out what your motivations are for your next career. Our Graduates will join the business on Monday 7th September 2026, so you must be available from this date. For the successful candidate there may also be opportunities to start earlier than this date.

Please note, if you are applying for a graduate role at Yunex Traffic, you must have the Right to Work in the UK for the duration of graduate programme (2 years). Unfortunately, we are currently unable to sponsor anyone joining us on our Graduate Development Programme who doesn’t have valid right to work in the UK.
