As Materials Handler you will join our busy Stores team based out of our Newhouses depot. You will be responsible for maintaining and administering stock, the issuing and receiving of physical stock and undertaking any relevant duties related to warehouse activity. If you enjoy being part of a great team, are organised and enjoy completing work to a high standard, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Receiving and unloading of stock from suppliers, couriers, and engineers
- Picking and issuing of stock as detailed on all despatch notes, to field staff, depots, and customers
- The moving and storage of all stock in and out of the warehouse, in a safe and tidy manner
- Ensure the filing of all documents relating to goods receipt and despatch, are kept up to date
- Pass all completed despatch notes to the Materials Supervisor for booking
- Assist in carrying out continuous stock checks
- Answer incoming calls promptly, and in a polite and courteous manner
- Notify the Materials Supervisor of any stock and process related issues
- Undertake appropriate training in line with the addition of new equipment and systems
- Liaise daily with the various teams based at the Leicester site to ensure all operational needs are met
Qualifications
- Previous stores and/or Logistics experience
- Ability to manage the receipt and despatch of goods
- Confident working with numerical and written data and information
- Knowledge of SAP desirable but not essential; computer literate
- Good communication skills
- Able to work unsupervised and remain calm and prioritise work when busy
- Forklift License would be beneficial but not essential
