As a key member of the Talent and Culture team, the HR Business Partner serves as a trusted advisor to both employees and leaders. They provide and execute strategic solutions that support company objectives, provide comprehensive HR support to employees, and foster a positive work environment. This role is for a fixed-term period of 12 months, reporting into the HR Director for YUM! and partnering with the Chief Supply Chain Officer and his Global Senior Leadership team across the UK, EU, US, Singapore, Africa & UAE.
Stakeholder engagement is pivotal in making this role a success, as well as partnering with local HR teams to drive talent and organizational effectiveness within the global markets supported. In addition to supporting client groups, the role involves owning select cross-PCBP coordination efforts, partnering closely with Centers of Excellence (COEs) to ensure strong execution of enterprise processes. This role ideally requires strong knowledge of UK employment law.
What you'll do
- Talent & Performance Execution
- Drive Talent Strategies that Inspire, Develop and Accelerate Talent.
- Partner with Senior Global Leaders to build bench for key roles and develop high-performing teams.
- Empower employees to meet their full potential by identifying development needs and recommending programs and experiences to help them grow.
- Lead execution of the full talent cycle (talent reviews, succession planning, calibration, performance management) for the client groups.
- Coach managers on performance, feedback, and team effectiveness.
- Partner with Senior Leaders to identify capability gaps and implement targeted development plans.
- Support the global team by ensuring the right capabilities, skill sets, and infrastructure are in place.
- Play a critical role in designing frameworks that foster adaptability, effectiveness, and measurable outcomes.
- Lead workforce planning and drive organizational changes.
- Drive and facilitate change management process and programs.
- Employee Relations & Compliance
- Act as a proactive and influential advisor, collaborating with senior leadership to align HR strategies with organizational goals.
- Serve as a visionary thought partner, providing insights and expertise on building a scalable and efficient global team structure.
- Cultivate a Positive and High-Performing Work Environment.
- Provide valuable guidance on HR policies, procedures, and conflict resolution.
- Conduct investigations and recommend effective solutions to maintain a positive and inclusive workplace.
- Address employee concerns with empathy and confidentiality.
- Advise & Partner with Senior leaders on employee relations matters with sound judgment and consistency.
- Ensure compliant, fair practices across regions, with strong global employment law expertise from an HR perspective.
- Operational Excellence & COE Partnership
- Point of contact between P&C and various HR COEs.
- Support consistent execution of P&C priorities across client groups.
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects that improve process clarity and effectiveness.
What you bring
- 10+ years of progressive HR/P&C experience.
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law (required).
- HR Experience supporting multi-country teams preferred.
- Experience working for a global, multi-faceted organisation.
- Proven ability to manage employee relations and performance matters independently.
