Our Assistant Managers are part of a global team of Yugoers who support consistent service delivery to students. We are #Futureshapers committed to positively impacting students and Yugoers alike.
Located in Norwich, this role requires a hands-on approach to ensure the delivery of cost-effective facilities and maintenance services. You will be responsible for managing operations when the Residence Manager is unavailable, ensuring the residence runs smoothly.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Residence Manager, your key duties will include:
- Leading, mentoring, and guiding the team to ensure smooth residence operations
- Following up on sales opportunities to maximize occupancy through short-term and long-term lets
- Driving sales and marketing activities to fully utilize all channels and keep residences full
- Maintaining high standards of property presentation through regular inspections and collaboration with the facilities team
- Handling complaints and providing excellent customer service to students
- Building relationships with local universities, suppliers, and internal teams using your personable approach
- Managing operational calendar and student lifecycle from arrival to departure, including summer turnaround
- Adhering to health and safety responsibilities as outlined in Section 7 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
Qualifications

- Experience supporting residence operations in hotels, hospitality, or student accommodation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building relationships
- A passion for providing students with an exceptional living experience

- Experience in a fast-paced, target-driven environment with a focus on sales and marketing
Preferred:
- Relevant qualification and/or willingness to undertake Carbon Literacy training, as our Pillars are central to our brand
