Bus Driver is a professional responsible for safely transporting passengers to their destinations. Bus Drivers operate buses according to traffic regulations and company policies. They are required to maintain a clean and mechanically sound bus and conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle's and passengers' safety. Bus Drivers must also be able to communicate effectively with passengers, collect fares, and provide information about routes and schedules. This position requires a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with passenger endorsement. A Bus Driver should have a good driving record and be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. A successful candidate for this position should be reliable, punctual, and have excellent customer service skills.
We are looking for a skilled Bus Driver who will be responsible for operating buses and transporting passengers safely to their destinations. In this position, you will be expected to maintain a clean and mechanically sound vehicle, follow traffic rules and regulations, and provide excellent customer service to passengers.
Bus Driver duties and responsibilities:- Operate a bus safely and efficiently to transport passengers to various destinations
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Inspect the bus before and after each trip to ensure it is in good working condition
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the bus
- Collect fares and issue tickets or passes as needed
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior
- Communicate with dispatch and other drivers as needed to coordinate routes and schedules
- Report any accidents, incidents, or mechanical problems to the appropriate authorities
- Attend training sessions and meetings as required
- Must possess a valid class 4 license
- Clean driving record with no accidents or violations
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test
- Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Prior experience as a bus driver preferred
- Good physical health and ability to lift heavy objects
- Ability to remain calm and focused in stressful situations
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
