The role: YuLife is scaling, and we’re looking for a talented Junior PR Account Managerto join our growing brand and communications team. The ideal candidate has a passion for storytelling and is in sync with the news, helping us bring the YuLife brand to life in the media while staying true to our values and tone of voice. Reporting to the Head of Brand, Communications and Strategic Research, this role is key to increasing brand awareness, PR visibility, and thought leadership across various channels, including press coverage, awards, and key note speaking opportunities. Day to day responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Media Monitoring: Track industry news, identify PR opportunities, and monitor YuLife mentions across media platforms. Awards and Events : Update and maintain a comprehensive list of relevant awards and events, liaise with awards bodies, research opportunities, draft submissions, and manage applications and communication. Media Lists Management: Build and maintain up-to-date media contact databases for targeted outreach. Press Release Support: Assist in drafting press releases, coordinating with customers/partners, and ensuring smooth dissemination. Budget Tracking: Monitor and maintain budgets and expenses for the PR department, including award submission costs. Journalist Outreach: Support outreach efforts, including pitching stories and responding to media queries. Scheduling & Follow-ups: Maintain schedules for campaigns, manage timelines, and support seamless communication follow-ups with stakeholders. PR Event Support: Assist in planning and executing PR events such as roundtables, product launches, and media lunches, ensuring all logistical details are covered. Brand Strategy Alignment: Provide regular updates on PR activities and media coverage to the social media team to ensure cohesive storytelling and brand alignment across all platforms. The ideal candidate will have: 2+ years of experience in public relations or communications, ideally in the employee benefits, insurance, fintech/insurtech, or wellbeing sectors. Experience with brand and thought leadership campaigns is a plus. A passion for storytelling, with strong writing skills to craft engaging content that brings YuLife’s values and tone of voice to life. Highly-organised and detail-oriented , with the ability to manage schedules, budgets, and cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and third-party partners. Proven track record in delivering successful PR activities , from media outreach to press release drafting, that drive brand visibility and awareness. Confident communicator who can build relationships with journalists, partners, and key stakeholders to achieve PR goals. Familiarity with digital tools for managing PR workflows, such as media monitoring platforms like Muck Rack or Cision. Experience in managing events , from planning to execution, ensuring all logistics and communications align with brand objectives.
