Reports to: Senior Commercial Manager

Location: Leicester LE3 5BZ – Fully office-based role

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week

As Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of Portfolio Account Managers alongside direct management of a Portfolio Coordinator who supports the team’s day-to-day operations. This role combines strategic leadership with operational excellence—ensuring high performance across complex account portfolios while maintaining strong delivery standards, efficiency, and service quality. You will play a key role in driving commercial outcomes, supporting complex deals, and enabling your team to succeed through effective coaching, structure, and support.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Portfolio Account Managers, driving high performance and accountability
  • Set clear objectives aligned to revenue growth and portfolio performance
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, providing structured feedback and development plans
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on ownership, proactivity, and commercial delivery
  • Provide oversight on high-value deals, ensuring alignment with business objectives and risk appetite
  • Drive portfolio performance ensuring customer lifetime value is central
  • Ensure consistency and quality in account management practices across the team
  • Oversee workload distribution and resource planning to maintain efficiency and SLA adherence
  • Act as an escalation point for complex partner or commercial issues
  • Drive operational improvements to enhance partner experience and internal efficiency

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience managing service teams
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to make strategic pricing and negotiation decisions
  • Advanced stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at a senior level
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability, particularly in complex commercial scenarios
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with delivery and execution
